Multiple Choice
You either love or you hate exams with multiple choice questions on them, there is no in between. Some answers are clear, while others, they're either all wrong, or all right, and you have a choice to make. With the tips below, that choice is going to become easier.
ALWAYS read the whole question before you look at the answers.
Underline key concepts and ideas in the question to help focus your memory.
Come up with the answer in your head before looking at the possible answers, this way the choices given on the test won't throw you off or trick you.
Eliminate answers you know aren't right.
Read all the choices before choosing your answer.
If you’re not sure what the right answer is, always take an educated guess and select an answer, but eliminate answers that you know are wrong before you guess. This improves your odds of being right.
In a question where all of the answers seem right, choose the one that is most correct, you will have to re-read and be picky with the wording of each answer.
In a question where all of the answers seem wrong, choose the one that is least incorrect, you will have to re-read and be picky with the wording of each answer.
Don't keep on changing your answer, usually your first choice is the right one, unless you have miss-read the question.
In "None of the above" choices, if you are certain one of the statements is true don't choose "None of the above"
In a question with an "All of the above" choice, if you see that at least two correct statements, then "All of the above" is probably the answer.
In a question with an "All of the above" choice, if you are certain one of the above answers if wrong do not choose “All of the Above”.
Trust your gut, and good luck!!
