About
Our goal is to help students manage their stress throughout the semester, as well as to advocate to the importance of good mental, physical, and emotional health. By providing students with the tools and resources to achieve a healthy lifestyle, the program supports the efforts that work to mitigate the stigma around mental health, as well as provide students with the resources to cope with any mental health problems they may be experiencing, or to improve their mental resilience in general.
There are an abundance of resources available at ÉJDSS, specifically provided by teachers in the days leading up to exams, that help students study for their exams. However, this is only one aspect that may help decrease a student’s stress. We aim to provide students with a way to help decrease their stress by addressing multiple aspects, specifically around exam time, and provide them with the resources to overcome this, in an accessible way. The activities emphasize the importance of helping others and generate awareness about mental health services that are offered within our school, and our community.

Our Mission
By providing students with the tools to manage their mental health, they will develop stronger resilience. Resilience is a tool which they will be able to apply to their daily lives, whether that be with personal relationships, academic achievement, or participation within the community.
This program aims to foster self-confidence with each student, and accentuate the importance of helping one another, not only within a school setting, but also within the community.
