Self care
Self care ISN'T selfish
Don't become a hermit
Make time to go outside or workout/do something active in between studying. Go for a run (or other forms of physical activity) or just get outside (ex. Walk or play with your dog, or just walk in a green space like a park or conservation area).
Something is better than nothing
5 minutes of work is better than zero. If you missed something on your schedule don’t think you can’t still work on it, even for 5 minutes. Grow and build on this.

Dress up to study
Do not wear sweat pants and a hoodie. If you don’t feel confident, you won’t be able to study well. Your attire will often help decide your mood/attitude for the day.
Perfectionism = overrated
Take the weight of perfectionism off your shoulders. Second drafts/reviews can be done after. Don’t think you are going to do your very best on the first try and try not to compare yourself to others.
Don’t overdo it
You can only study for so long before you get too frustrated or tired. If you begin to feel overwhelmed take a break and talk to someone or think about something positive, or grab something to eat.
When you know you will be studying a lot for exams, give yourself a break and plan to do something fun so you’re not constantly studying. After you’re done studying for one subject, allow yourself an hour or two to do something you like to do.
