Preparation

Before Exams

Planning = your new BFF

Give yourself lots of time to study everything so you don’t feel stressed for time, but also plan something fun for AFTER exams so you can have something to look forward to and to motivate you to get through your exams successfully.

Clearing your weekends leading up and designate specific time you’re going to study, and also when you’re going to take breaks helps keep stress and anxiety under control.

Try to plan something fun for AFTER exams so you can have something to look forward to and have something positive and fun to motivate you to get through your exams successfully.

It’s important to study, but it’s also important to know that school isn’t everything and your body is not going to do what it's told unless you take care of it.

Intend to get the most you can out of each study session; plan the session and determine what you want to accomplish in the session.

Set a timer and work for a specific period of time.  Try to accomplish practice problems in reasonable amounts of time considering the examination time constraints (e.g. set goals like three problems in twenty minutes).

Interrogate your Teachers

Ask as many questions about the exam as you can in class and use every bit of information to your advantage.  Pay attention here; your teacher may drop hints as to what is particularly important and what isn’t.

you create them"
